Master Degree

I got the master degree at Osaka University two years ago. However, this master degree doesn't guarantee my proficiency in economics analysis.

It does give you a partial advantage though ;) I still only have a Bachelor's, but I'm studying like hell to go on :)

Dear Daniel,
Thank you for choosing to see my blog from a great deal of blogs in the internet.

And thank you for your nice comment! Your comment is very important: In Japan, a master degree is regarded as more important in the academic or business society than in the western world like Germany, France, England, USA, and your country, Hungary and so on.

In this point, I may be at an advantage. But it's only in Japan. I don't seem to be at an advantage in the western society.

Today many Chinese and Korean people get a PhD from the US graduate schools and some prominent European grad schools.

And hence even in the east Asian countries a PhD comes to be prefered to a master degree in the business and academic society. I think that it is a good trend and that much more scholars with PhD should teach students at university.

I hope I will get a PhD and become a university and college teacher. Though the school I'm going to is less famous in the USA, the PhD is well worth.

This master degree is only a steppingstone to a PhD to me.

Well, if you have time I hope you'll be coming and seeing here again, thank you for your visit.

Taro - Thanks for linking to my blog! I have added a link to your blog on my sidebar to return the favor. :) I'm not an economist, but I'm taking a course in my university's economics department next fall, so maybe I'll learn something from your blog!

Dear didi,

Thank you for saying hello to me and for linking to your blog. I'm happy. I hope we will be able to exchange comments frankly.

You are studying social science as a grad student. So what you study might be related to economics, I guess.

And you are using statistics to solve the crime. As you've known, Becker-Posner Blog might tell you a lot of things on many social issues including politics, sports, global warming, discrimination and crime and so on. If you like, please go and see there, and you may find some critical hints related to your study.

Well, I am going to the USA this fall to study PhD economics. I'm looking forward to living there. I will also learn something good from your blog. I'll often visit your blog. And if you have some time, please visit here anytime!

Since I am now busy preparing for grad econ study, so I won't be able to update my blog. But I will try it from now on. Thank you for your kindness.
