On Whaling (2)

Ambassador Caroline Kennedy said to the twitter, "Deeply concerned by inhumaneness of drive hunt dolphin killing. USG opposes drive hunt fisheries", and got flooded by comments. I don't eat dolphin and don't know the reason drive hunt is banned. I know that Japanese are blamed for hunting whales, dolphins and, recently included, tuna. If I get hurt by this inhumane hunt and want to stop it, how much am I willing to pay to hunters not to do it? I don't pay a cent.

キャロライン・ケネディー氏がツイッターで、「イルカの追い込み漁という非人道性に深く憂慮している。アメリカ政府はこれに反対する」といい、炎上した。私はイルカは食べないし、何故追い込み漁が禁止されなければならないのか分からない。日本人は、クジラ、イルカそして、最近ではマグロを捕ることに批判されている。もし、私がこの非人道的漁に傷つきやめてほしいなら、漁師にいくら支払うだろう。一銭も払わないだろう。
